New pictures and a little excitement

So last weekend, we were invited out to a little party at the home of Schondy's company's new CEO. We had a very nice time and some very nice food. Suffice it to say that the house was beautiful and amazing and we would do incredibly well to be half as successful as these people.

When we returned home that evening, there were people gathered in the area around our mailbox. We didn't really think anything of it because there are lots of people in our neighborhood who spend lots of time gathering on the sidewalk and this didn't look any different.

A few minutes after we got inside the house, though, someone starting ringing our doorbell. I was greeted by a man who informed me that a friend had been leaving his house and had "lost control of her car and knocked over the mailboxes and some of the fence." So I went to look. And this is what I found (they mailbox smashers rearranged the bits to make it look a bit less crazy and we didn't get a picture of it before it was all straightened up):

We live in a little area with 4 houses all together and we kind of share a mailbox/fence thing and all 4 mailboxes were creamed. I took down the name and number of the woman who did the damage and the people assured me they'd have someone out to fix it all right up within a couple days. Well... it's now been a week and the mailboxes are still on the ground. Happily, our mail carrier has continued to deliver to us, since our box is quite where it's supposed to be, just 3 feet lower than normal. I'm not terribly far from going out there and fixing the stupid thing myself, but there are 2 other families whose mailboxes were also smashed and I kind of feel like I need to let this take its course or... something.

Meanwhile, the baby is continuing to grow like a weed. I look more pregnant every day and feel like I'm huge, though everyone assures me I look nowhere near 5+ months along. I get the occasional drum solo on my bladder, which isn't nearly as much fun as it sounds. Maybe it is for the baby, but it's not his/her bladder being pummeled. Aside from that, I'm convinced we're growing a Rockette in there. Schondy has been audience to some of the movement and we're even getting to the point where my belly visibly moves. So here's the current progress:

You look great! I know the feeling of being a drumset! I hope you are feeling great and I love the fact that you are making a lot of stuff for the baby! I did the same (crafting, second hand shopping, craigslist) and loved being so involved with everything! I hope your energy level stays high and that the coming months continue fairly smoothly!
